10 Mediterranean war patrols.
18th August 1942 | Sank by torpedoes the Italian transport ship Rosolino Pilo 50 nautical miles off Pantellaria Island. This ship had been previously damaged by motor torpedo boats. |
17th September | Sank the Italian merchantman Rostro & Italian auxilliary submarine chaser V 39/Giovanna by gunfire near Misurata, Libya. |
1st October | The Italian merchantman Ravenna was grounded after a previous allied air attack near Locri, Calabria, Italy. Torpedoes were fired which caused more damage to the striken ship. |
19th October | Fired torpedoes at the damaged Italian tanker Petrarca approx 20 nautical miles west of Lampedusa Island. |
8th November | Attacked with torpedoes the Italian light cruiser Attilio Regolo with torpedoes off Capo San Vito, Sicily. All torpedoes missed. The Attilio Regolo had her bows blown away in an attack the previous day by HMS Unruffled. |
17th January 1943 | Sank the Italian destroyer Bombardiere, west of Sicily. |
14th June | Sank the former Norwegian merchant ship Ringulv which was requisitioned by Germany. |
15th July | Fired 4 torpedoes at
the Italian transport submarine Remo
in the Gulf of Taranto. One hit amidships & the Remo
sank within a few minutes. This was part of Operation Husky. |
12th February 1946 | Scrapped at Troon. |
